Commission work. 30 x 60 in, acrylics on canvas. SOLD as commission work for private collection in Snowmass Village.
Poem handwritten by artist on the back of canvas.
“I see the light coming, in a far distant land.
Like the morning when it starts appearing, I see it coming in the skies.
No mind can comprehend the hour of the dawn, but the sun will rise in the heights of the mountains.
Let hope arise ! My brother, my sister. I long to see you again on the other side.
But as for now, I may hide a little bit while the night is here. The watchman is watching, and this is the time I can buy oil for my lamp for free. Without cost and without price, I will keep this lamp alive.
When the journey starts, don’t loose hope, my brother, my sister. Let hope arise! Turn your eyes to the hills, may you find help to climb.
From the summit, from the hills and the rivers and the valleys. The trees are clapping. The night is gone. The clouds give way. The light is coming. May I see you on the other side!“. - by Isabella Garaffa.
